A good week to showcase the breadth of DSD activities:
442 ice creams were distributed.  Mostly deserved.
The Spraoi games last Friday was the first competition for many of our youngest members.  They appeared to enjoy themselves which isn’t the point of competition at all.
Last Friday our men’s and women’s track teams qualified for the league final comfortably.  Lorcan is back!
My performance of the week was the team win in the Peugeot series Dunshaughlin 10k.: Ruth Wilson, Philip Simpson, Gavin Callery, Ruben Bartelink, Tara Quirke and Aoife Harrington.
The national children’s games took place on Sunday.  This is the youngest category for national champs and I would say the hardest place to get medals.  But we had our best haul:  2 gold and 3 silver.
Conn McCluskey has a 1:90 HJ in the Tailteann Games, proving hurling training is much better than athletics training.
Evelyn Kwik ran 54.6 for the one lap.  The puns are too easy so I’m not going to bother.
Eimear Maher made another podium in Copenhagen (4:10 1,500) and Captain Carthy won with a handy 46.91 one lapper in Boysen.  No, I don’t know where Boysen is.
This weekend is a rest.  Only joking, more national juveniles are on.
