Well done to the 23 athletes out competing in Santry over the weekend.
There were tough conditions, so PB's were hard to achieve, but they still managed 9 of those!
On the track, Sprint Queen Sienna fought the wind and strong competitors to claim gold 🥇, with Hannah O'R making the final also.
Hannah also made the hurdles final, along with Leila and Ciara, with Stephen representing the DSD boys in his final.
Sienna-Rose fearlessly took on the pole vault and claimed silver 🥈 and Alex soared to 1.80 to claim gold 🥇 (it would have gotten him joint gold in the U15 competition!)
There were tough times too, Patrick didn't get over the opening height in HJ on Friday, but came back with 3 PB's in the LJ on Saturday. Mia didn't register a LJ on Saturday but came back to win gold in the Shot today 🥇. Not everyone gets a quick redemption, but dealing with this kind of tough time is part of the benefit (even if it doesn't feel like it at the time 🥲).
Congrats also to Juliana who qualified for Nationals in the Shot with a new PB 💪.
Finally, worth celebrating - everyone made it over the hurdles without face-planting 🥳
