This week…

Eimear Maher delivered again – second fastest woman in the Euro X mixed relay.  Luckily she wasn’t taking the baton from a giant Longford man. (No explanations will be given).

Ciara Wilson Bowen walked 51:52 for 10k in the Walks International (2nd place) in St Anne’s Park.  This is very disrespectful for those of us who cannot run this fast or this far.

David O’Leary and his Womens’ Mini Marathon team surveyed the campus and declared themselves pleased – they are due to move in to the new building next Autumn.

Tess Byrne distributed 175* hot chocolate drinks on Tuesday night.

The adidas kit arrived on schedule but ahead of expectations.  Thanks to Dee Walsh we are not only the best, but the best dressed club.

Saturday night we will gather disgracefully at Cathal Brugha barracks for a Christmas celebration.  We are guests of our secretary, Mark Conway so there is no need to be on your best behaviour.

Reminder not to get out of hand over the season:  The Goal Mile takes place on the campus on New Year’s day.  What a great way to start the year – thanks to Becca Tighe for pulling it together again.

Membership renewal is now open for next year (go to Club Zap).  311+  eager people have already signed up for more punishment in 2026.
