Last week was amused that the men’s team was 2nd in the Dublin XC champs in Kilbeggan but won the Leinster champs in the same race. The club needs a policy on witchcraft.
Depressingly, the last of this year’s Dublin champs (for our u 9 warriors) again cancelled this weekend because of…rain. If this continues, our youngest athletes will not learn to enjoy misery and will end up soft as sprinters.
This postpones the coronation of our juvenile XC athletes as top overall Dublin club over the season for a couple of weeks.
Conn McCluskey produced another top performance in the All Ireland schools combined events. He will probably be the only participant in those champs to also line out in the All Ireland XC next weekend in Derry. We hope to see him line out for the Dublin minor hurlers next year while keeping his foot in at high jump.
