My new white adidas jacket arrived so it was great to be in the rain and mud last Sunday at Abbottstown and to see teams in every race. Holly Carroll impressed in her debut on the senior team.
The new kit (as modelled by me) looks great and you can order away now until 3rd November.
Our track and field masters were too posh (weak?) for October in Ireland and chose instead to compete in Madeira at the European champs. A fantastic example of sport for life.
Great feedback during the week from our consultation on phases 2 & 3. Thanks to Declan Ryan for setting it up.
The talk on heat stroke was well received during the week – hopefully we will get the recording up on the website soon, thanks to Sarah O’Carroll for the idea and execution.
Congratulations to David Gillick on the launch of his book, “The Race”. Available in all good book shops and many bad ones. I am looking forward to the read.
Marathon mania arrives this weekend. I wish our c. 70 DSD warriors fair voyage and am excited to see what Meghan Ryan, Paul O’Donnell and Hiko Tonosa can do at the sharp end. Although it is rumoured Lorcan Murphy is out to win. The place to watch is at our drink station at Orwell (19 mile mark).
