Hi all,

Firstly we would like to congratulate all DSDAC athletes who took part in the Dublin Juvenile Even Age Cross Country Championships in the Phoenix Park on Sunday 12th October - for some it was their first Championships while others are seasoned competitors – we were delighted to see so many smiling faces during the day.

An enormous thank you must go out to our DSD volunteers on the day – Joan, Gary, Danielle, Dermot and Paul – without the generosity and active participation of all Clubs in providing volunteers these events could not go ahead. The Dublin County Board would also like to extend their thanks to all Club officials.

Thank you also must go to our fantastic coaches for their commitment and dedication who ensured that their athletes were well prepared for the Championships and were full of enthusiasm and support on the day!

A special mention and many congratulations must go to the athletes and teams who won medals on the day and will be going on to represent the Club at the National Juvenile Even Age Cross Country Championships which will be held at the Templemore Sports Complex, Buncrana Rd, Derry on Sunday 23rd November 2025. 

Congratulations also to our U10 athletes who won Individual and Team medals in the Dublin wide Championships!

 Qualifying Positions for Nationals:
 

·        The top 10 in the U12/14/16/18 age groups qualify to represent Dublin as a County team.

·        The top 12 in the U12/14/16/18 age groups qualify to represent Dublin as a Provincial team.

·        The first 4 teams qualify for the Inter Clubs in the same age groups. 

9 DSD athletes will be representing Dublin County and 13 DSD athletes will be representing Dublin Province across 4 Age Groups (U12, U14, U16 & U18) with 4 DSD Teams going on to represent the Club at Nationals. Coaches will be in touch to confirm the teams that will be competing at Nationals.

With the National Juvenile Even Age, Junior and Senior Cross Country Championships being held in County Derry this year - the Club is looking to block book hotel accommodation in Letterkenny for athletes who may wish to travel up the day before and stay overnight. Once the teams have been confirmed by coaches - we will communicate details and availability and also look at potential travel arrangements.
