National Inter Club & Mixed Cross Country Relay Championships 2025 - Abbotstown Cross Country Course Sunday 19th October 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The National Juvenile Inter Club Relays (U11/U13/U15 Age Groups) and National Juvenile Mixed Relays (U12/U14/U17 Age Groups) will be held on Sunday 19th October at Abbottstown Cross Country Course commencing at 11am.
These Championships are again being held separately to the Dublin Championships to allow Dublin Clubs an opportunity to participate fully in the National Championships and we look forward to fielding teams across all age groups.
Relay Race Distances:
Single Gender Teams
- U11 (Born 2015) – Girls & Boys 4 x 500m
- U13 (Born 2013) – Girls & Boys 4 x 500m
- U15 (Born 2011) – Girls & Boys 4 x 1000m
Mixed Relay Teams – 2 Boys & 2 Girls
- U12 (Born 2014) – Mixed Team 4 x 500m
- U14 (Born 2012) – Mixed Team 4 x 500m
- U17 (Born 2009) – Mixed Team 4 x 1000m
Relays are a Team Event - last minute withdrawals put the full team at risk of not competing.
As always, relay teams are selected by coaches. If you are selected and commit to a relay team, please ensure that you make yourself available on the day of the competition. It is a Team event and if an athlete withdraws at the last minute, their teammates are unlikely to be able to compete.
Please do not commit if you are not available.
Coaches are currently busy organising teams for the day – please complete the Cross-Country Expression of Interest Form if your athlete is interested in being considered and available to take part in a Cross-Country Relay on Sunday 19th October.
Expression of Interest form will close at 10pm Friday 3rd October.
Ages Categories:
- U10 (born 2016 – U10’s can step up to U11)
- U11 (born 2015)
- U12 (born 2014)
- U13 (born 2013)
- U14 (born 2012)
- U15 (born 2011)
- U16 (born 2010)
- U17 (born 2009)
- U18 (born 2008)
Notes:
- Athletes may move up ONE age group.
- U10 (Born 2016) athletes may take part in U11 Relays.
Athletes may only take part in one relay on the day.
