Did you know former World Champ and Tokyo silver medallist, Geoff Wightman’s fiancée is Georgie Hartigan, DSD’s former 800m national champion?  So there.

Berlin Marathon last weekend:  Eoin Fogarty was going great to 35k but succumbed to the heat.  Bounce back Eoin.  Thanks to the MTR comrades who rescued his kit. I see Daniel O’Sullivan had a useful 2:44 there and dozens of DSD warriors completed the Dublin Half Marathon.

Congrats to Cara Murphy our national 400h champ who has been offered a scholarship with a college whose name cannot be mentioned.   Out on loan.

A mighty beech came crashing down on the campus and brought half the canopy with it.  (But did anyone hear?)  Dead trees play an essential role in a forest’s ecosystem so we will just leave it.  It’s not bothering anyone.

Great start to work on Phase 3 by our contractors, Precision Engineering, with drainage ditches dug and pipes laid.  Lash on before the weather changes!

The very wicked Sharon Wilson is filing record entries for the next juvenile league XC as I write (10 pm).  No rest.
