Eimear Maher produced another outstanding PB performance in the rain in Belfast on Saturday running 4.13.3  in the 1500m. This was a 1.5 sec improvement on her previous PB. 

The time is an A standard qualifier for the Europeans U23 championships in Norway this summer and puts Eimear in pole position for selection.  

Eimear held a position in the pack for much of the race moving into the lead at the bell.  She produced a blistering 64 second last lap to storm away from the field and win in convincing style.  

Eimear has been running with DSD since she was 11 years old, so it’s great to see her continuing athletic development.

Yesterday morning Eimear was back up on our track with Coach Donal speeding around her 200m reps in prep for her next race as you can see in the photo !
