Dear DSD Members,

On behalf of the DSD Events Board and the Women’s Mini Marathon team, I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who generously volunteered their time for this year’s VHI Women’s Mini Marathon. Whether you helped with number collection in the lead-up to the event, managed baggage, supported the start, kept the course clear, or assisted at the finish line—your efforts were essential to making this another incredibly successful event.
As members of DSD, or as parents of our young athletes, it’s important to remember that the Women’s Mini Marathon is our club’s race. It’s because of this event that we enjoy our fantastic facilities—and thanks to its continued success, we currently do not need to ask for additional fundraising.
So, please go ahead and mark your calendars for next year! (June bank holiday Sunday.) The call for volunteers will go out again, as it does every year, and I truly hope to see many of you back to support this wonderful event as well as those who were unable to help out this year.
