The club will manage the campus facilities (track, trails and gym) to maximise its use for its members and the wider community consistent with good estate management.
It is necessary to have rules for the benefit of all users.
Permission to use campus facilities:-
1. During DSD training hours, the campus is available for use by members only as part of sessions led by DSD club coaches in recognised training groups (permitted training).
2. The permitted training timetables for gym and track are appended and are subject to amendment from time to time by the Director of Athletic Operations (currently Sharon Wilson).
3. Coaches wishing to change scheduled slots must get permission from the Director of Athletic Operations.
4. No use of the campus by anyone is permitted outside club hours without the express permission of the Director of Facilities (currently Ger Dunne).
5. DSD club coaches are those appointed by the Director of Juvenile Operations (currently John Walsh) to coach juveniles (age 16 and under) and/or those appointed by the Director of Athletics (currently Fintan Hourihan) to coach over 16s in the club.
6. Members and non-members who wish to use the facilities as coaches or athletes without participating in a DSD coach-led session (approved training), must have express permission from the Director of Facilities (currently Ger Dunne).
7. Express permission may be withdrawn at any time at the discretion of the Director of Facilities.
8. The Director of Facilities will consider (a) capacity and (b) appropriateness before granting permission.
9. Permission will not be given where the use is likely to impede permitted training or where the Director of Athletics decides it is not in the interest of the club or its members.
10. DSD coaches leading a coaching session may invite non-DSD club members to join a particular training session where their participation is likely to enhance the session for DSD athletes.
11. During public hours (when opened) DSD will have no role in monitoring the track and use will be a matter for DLR or its appointed agent..
