✨✨When all the talk of snow disappeared, we were left with the more traditional cross country picture of cold, rain and mud and for one master not to be named (Tadhg) had his own slip and slide out there..
✨✨After a few of the usual grumblings of “What the heck am I doing here?” the mood quickly turned to being “really glad that I did it “and “I actually quite enjoyed it out there”....all spoken like seasoned cross country runners...
✨✨Although we all needed our thermals and a hot shower after ,it was great to see the numbers of DSD growing for the first Championship of the new year, especially now that the Intermediates are incorporated into the day. So a big shout out to all those who got out there over the 6 races of the day, and maybe next year Reuben might not give his team mates a head start by over a minute,, but fair play on dodging nearly the whole field and getting up to 4th place...
A few notable individual and team medals were collected ....👏👏👏👏👏🎉
Big shout out to Maria McCambridge (athlete and coach extraordinaire) for winning the W45 in great style and helping her team to 🥈
